I heard about Robert Birming's Junited 2026 and wanted to participate. I enjoy reading the links that others have posted, and I’ve been finding new sources to follow. There is so much good work going on! It gives a person hope.
-
Poorly Drawn Lines, Reza Farazmand.
-
Extra Ordinary, Li Chen. These first two are among my favorite web comics.
-
Still Exaggerated, PZ Meyers, who often posts about spiders. They’re our friends, please don’t harm them!
-
Fighting Chaos, Frances Crossley, a list of 100 personal rules. Some good rules, and some that wouldn’t work for me. This got me thinking about what would be on my list.
-
Beneath the Enshittification, Something Amazing is Growing, Mike Masnick. Some optimism when we need it.
-
I love the computer, Michael Enger.
-
A Guide to the Retro Web, Kevin Boone.
-
A Simple Web We Own, R.S. Doiel.
-
Why I Still Like the Internet, Gordon McClean.
-
The Slow Death of the Power User, fireborn.
-
I’m Going to Rant About How Much AI Fucking Sucks, Albi, from 2025.
-
The Intolerable Hypocrisy of Cyberlibertarianism, Mat Duggan.
-
I Left Port 22 Open on the Internet for 54 Days, Arman Hossain. When you run your own web site, you see the constant, unrelenting attacks in your server logs. It’s a bit depressing.
-
Blogging Can Just Be Stating The Obvious, Jim Nielsen.

Why AI Agents Fill Me with Dread, Adam Engst
